CINE Director is one of 24 women at the forefront of Energy research

Earlier this year, the journal ACS Energy Letters published an article that brings together testimonies from female scientists who are authors of “seminal works” published in the journal throughout 2024.
These women were invited by the journal’s editor to share personal reflections on what inspired them to work in clean energy research and on the paths they took to become leaders in the scientific community.
Professor Ana Flávia Nogueira (Unicamp), researcher and director of CINE, was one of 24 researchers in the world, and the only one from Latin America, to receive this recognition.
The director of CINE was chosen for being the corresponding author of the letter “In Situ PL Tracking of Halide Exchange at 3D/QD Heterojunction Perovskite Solar Cells”, published in June last year. The article, which has several members of CINE among its authors, reports the use of perovskite quantum dots to improve performance and reduce degradation in solar cells.
