Professor Ana Flávia Nogueira (Unicamp), Director and researcher at CINE, was appointed a member of the steering committee of the Energy Sector Fund (CT-Energ) as a representative of the scientific community. She was nominated by the Brazilian Society for the Advancement of Science, and her term runs until June 2027.

Linked to the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, CT-Energ funds research, development, and innovation projects in the field of electric energy. Its steering committee is responsible for defining annual investment plans, monitoring the implementation of initiatives, and evaluating the results achieved.

“As a member of the CT-Energ steering committee, I intend to encourage the development of Brazilian technologies for the energy transition, to minimize our country’s dependence on imported components,” says the CINE Director.

The CT-Energ steering committee is comprised of two representatives from the scientific community and two from the productive sector, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the federal innovation agency FINEP, the federal science agency CNPq, and the National Electric Energy Agency. The committee is chaired by a representative of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation.

Ana Flávia Nogueira is a Full Professor at the Institute of Chemistry at Unicamp. She is an Associate Editor of the prestigious scientific journals Journal of Materials Chemistry C, Materials Advances, and Materials Today Chemistry. She is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Brazilian Academy of Sciences.
