Five CINE researchers are included in a ranking that presents the best scientists in Brazil in each area of ​​knowledge, according to their productivity and scientific impact.

Prepared by the international platform Research.com, this ranking is based on the D index (Discipline H-index), which considers the number of publications and citations of a researcher in a given discipline. To prepare the ranking, the platform collected bibliometric data from several sources in November 2024, including OpenAlex and CrossRef.

In the area of ​​Materials Science, Edson Leite (UFSCar and LNNano-CNPEM) is in 4th place, Caue Ribeiro (Embrapa) is in 26th place, Ana Flávia Nogueira (Unicamp) is in 42nd place and Ernesto C. Pereira (UFSCar) is in 61st place. In the area of ​​Chemistry, Caue Ribeiro is in 65th place, Ana Flávia Nogueira is in 94th place and Juarez L. F. Da Silva (IQSC-USP) is in 103rd place.
