To balance the global energy matrix and attenuate these effects, there has been a great effort to make renewable energy sources economically viable. Solar energy, one of the most notable, displays several advantages such as low maintenance, zero emissions and high availability, but in order toincrease the viability of solar energy, it is essential to maximize efficiency and decrease cost. How can we use computational chemistry and materials science to that end? In this Webinar, we willcover the principles of solar energy conversion, and how we can use (and have used) computational materials science tools to characterize materials based on the most important properties that influence photovoltaic efficiency and propose new materials and\/or modifications to existing materials to tune these properties toward the ideal for maximum power conversion efficiency.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
No dia 19 de mar\u00e7o, Julian F.
