{"id":3304,"date":"2021-03-23T11:29:05","date_gmt":"2021-03-23T14:29:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hub.aptor.software\/cine\/?p=3304"},"modified":"2021-03-23T11:35:16","modified_gmt":"2021-03-23T14:35:16","slug":"i-international-conference-on-new-energies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cine.org.br\/pb\/i-international-conference-on-new-energies\/","title":{"rendered":"I International Conference on New Energies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Center for Innovation on New Energies (CINE) was launched by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fapesp.br\/en\/6026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FAPESP<\/a>\u00a0(S\u00e3o Paulo Research Foundation),\u00a0Shell Brazil, University of Campinas (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicamp.br\/unicamp\/english\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UNICAMP<\/a>), University of S\u00e3o Paulo (<a href=\"https:\/\/www5.usp.br\/english\/institutional\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">USP<\/a>) and the Energy &amp; Nuclear Research Institute (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipen.br\/portal_por\/portal\/default.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IPEN<\/a>) in May 2018.<\/p>\n<p>A total of BRL 110 million is the investment in CINE over a five-year period under the aegis of FAPESP\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fapesp.br\/cpe\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Engineering Research Centers Program<\/a>, to fund the development of new energy storage devices with zero or close-to-zero greenhouse gas emissions using renewable fuels and novel technological routes to convert methane into chemicals, among other goals. The Center\u2019s mission is to produce knowledge at the research frontier, and in parallel to transfer technology to the business sector.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, CINE has four research divisions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Division 1<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Dense Energy Carriers, hosted by UNICAMP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Division 2<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Advanced Energy Storage, hosted by UNICAMP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Division 3<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Methane to Products, hosted by IPEN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Division 4<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Computacional Material Science &amp; Chemistry, hosted by USP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All together, the research divisions develop a total of 20 research projects. Activities area coordinated by a Hub, hosted by UNICAMP, at the School of Chemical Engineering.<\/p>\n<p>The I International Conference on New Energies will present this activities, the Divisions and CINE\u2019s Communication Strategy.
