On August 16, CINE hold in online format, a meeting of\u00a0 leaders of the center with members of the\u00a0 International Advisory Board (IAB). During the meeting, the members of the board could share their perceptions about the three years of activity of CINE and each of its research divisions, including reflections on the advances that were achieved, as well as recommendations for the next directions.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe meeting provided high-level exchanges and discussions, making it possible, within this dedicated space, to know and understand the strategic visions of the board members\u201d, says Jos\u00e9 Antonio Teixeira Junior, executive manager of CINE, who participated in the meeting. \u201cCertainly, the IAB Meeting will reflect positively on CINE\u201d, he completes.<\/p>\n
The IAB brings together world-renowned scientists in new energy field. With the expertise of its members, the IAB helps define CINE’s directions, being responsible, together with the Executive Committee, for the elaboration of the Center’s general guidelines and for analyzing the objectives of its main projects.<\/p>\n
Currently, the IAB is chaired by Osvaldo Novais de Oliveira Junior (IFSC-USP, Brazil) and its members are Prashant V. Kamat (University of Notre Dame, USA),\u00a0 James Durrant (Imperial College London, UK), Michael F. Toney (University of Colorado Boulder, USA), Nguyen Minh (Center for Energy Research, University of California, USA) and Su-Huai Wei (Beijing Computational Science Research Center, China).<\/p>\n
Five of the six council members were present at the IAB Meeting (Su-Huai Wei was unable to attend and will make his recommendations by other means). The other participants were the executive manager; the CINE director, Ana Fl\u00e1via Nogueira (UNICAMP), who led the meeting; the deputy director, Camila Brand\u00e3o (Shell); the principal investigators and some key researchers from CINE’s four research divisions, and the champions of the CINE divisions at Shell.<\/p>\n
