More stable perovskite solar cells<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

A CINE study involving researchers from Unicamp and CNPEM innovatively addressed the well-known problem of instability in metal halide perovskites. Using advanced materials characterization techniques, the scientists unraveled how the layer underlying the perovskite film in the solar cell influences the material’s stability in the face of heat. According to postdoctoral researcher Murillo Henrique de Matos Rodrigues, co-author of the study, the understanding achieved represents a milestone in the development of more efficient and durable devices. Booth at innovation event<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Young researchers from CINE showcased prototypes of technologies developed at the center to a wide audience, ranging from children to entrepreneurs, at the Campinas Innovation Week. For the CINE members, this was a rich scientific outreach experience. “It’s not enough to know how to conduct research; we have to be able to express the idea clearly and objectively to gain more exposure and bring society and business together,” says postdoctoral fellow Willian Nunes. Professors Ana Flavia Nogueira and Hudson Zanin (Unicamp), members of the CINE executive committee, participated in the Energy Summit in Rio de Janeiro. “This type of event is very important for expanding dialogue and cooperation between academia, industry, and governments, accelerating the implementation of technological solutions that is essential for a successful energy transition,” said Hudson, who was one of the speakers on the panel on the future of energy storage. Workshop of the CINE\u00b4s Computational Materials Design division<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
