To date, these articles have been cited more than 10,800 times.

The number of citations is an important measure of the impact and academic relevance of a scientific work. “These data demonstrate the global scientific community’s recognition of CINE’s contributions to the advancement of knowledge in strategic areas such as energy storage, green hydrogen, carbon capture and new materials,” says Professor Juarez L. F. Da Silva (IQSC-USP), coordinator of Education and Knowledge Dissemination at CINE.

The number of citations to CINE papers has increased consistently year after year. According to Google Scholar, there were 168 citations in 2019, 654 in 2020, 1,485 in 2021, 2,178 in 2022, 2,577 in 2023, and 3,253 last year. “The continued growth in the number of publications and citations reflects CINE’s commitment to producing excellent science,” says Juarez. “This effort translates into articles published in high-quality journals, consolidating its position as a reference in research on renewable energy and sustainable solutions,” he adds.

Some of CINE’s papers have individually received more than 100 citations.
