CINE has entered a new phase with the signing of an agreement between Shell Brasil, FAPESP, Unicamp, USP and UFSCar<\/b> to carry out 15 research projects <\/b>aimed at improving energy generation and storage technologies. <\/span><\/span>The agreement was signed on

The Energy Generation<\/b> research division encompasses development and innovation projects in the areas of solar and wind energy. <\/span><\/span>In the field of solar energy, the division prioritizes perovskite solar cells, seeking to improve their efficiency and durability and enable their production on an industrial scale. Regarding wind energy projects, the focus is on offshore generation and aims to improve the reliability and efficiency of wind generating units. The Advanced Energy Storage<\/b> division develops key technologies to store energy when there is excess production and to provide energy when there is demand. This <\/span><\/span>management is especially relevant in the context of electric vehicles and solar and wind energy, whose sources are intermittent. <\/span><\/span>To this end, the program trains people in the development of batteries, supercapacitors, reformers and fuel cells. The Green Hydrogen<\/b> division is dedicated to studying fundamental and technological aspects of green hydrogen generation by electrolysis, including addressing challenges in its production on an industrial scale. <\/span><\/span>The projects seek to increase the efficiency and reduce the costs of electrolyzers through the use of innovative materials and a detailed

By working closely with the other divisions, the Computational Materials Design<\/b> division develops and applies computational simulations and artificial intelligence tools to develop efficient, sustainable, and low-cost energy generation and storage technologies. <\/span><\/span>The use of computational tools allows the prediction of material properties in a variety of situations, significantly accelerating the research process. In addition, natural language processing techniques help analyze large amounts of scientific papers to identify trends and research
