In partnership with Ita\u00fa Unibanco<\/a><\/b>, CINE began this year a series of workshops<\/b> dedicated to disseminating knowledge about the energy transition. By combining CINE\u2019s scientific and technological expertise and Ita\u00fa\u2019s commitment to sustainability, this collaboration is promoting a rich exchange of ideas on high-impact topics such as urban mobility, renewable energy generation and storage, new low-carbon fuels, and artificial intelligence. Four workshops have already been held in February, May, and July of this year in the city of S\u00e3o Paulo, in either an in-person or hybrid format, with the presence of teams from Ita\u00fa, CINE, and companies and associations directly involved in the energy transition. The first event addressed existing technologies and possible solutions to carry out the energy transition in Brazil<\/b> in the best possible way, in terms of social, environmental, and financial sustainability. The second was a discussion panel on regulatory aspects of wind and solar photovoltaic energy<\/b> and their impacts on the Brazilian market. The third workshop consisted of presentations by experts and group discussions on energy efficiency and transition.<\/b> Finally, low-carbon hydrogen<\/b>, from production to regulatory aspects, was the subject of the fourth workshop.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

In April, the academic-industrial consortium InSilicoNet<\/a> <\/b>established a partnership with CINE to develop technologies for the energy transition<\/b>. The partnership brings together InSilicoNet\u2019s expertise in solutions based on digital tools and CINE\u2019s scientific expertise in materials and devices for a low-carbon economy. Through this agreement, teams from both organizations can work together to generate innovations that accelerate the transition to a more sustainable world, including aspects such as technical-economic and life cycle assessments<\/b> of new technologies.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

In May, we had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from ANODOX <\/b>Energy Systems (a Swedish-based company dedicated to providing products and services for high-performance energy systems) to discuss possibilities for working together.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Also in May, we were honored with a visit from a delegation from the Dutch government<\/b> to our headquarters at Unicamp. The purpose of the visit was to discuss possible partnerships and collaborations between CINE and research centers in the Netherlands.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

At the end of May, a CINE team visited the research and development laboratories of BYD <\/b>in the city of Campinas – the multinational clean energy and electric mobility company, known in Brazil for its electric cars and silicon photovoltaic panels.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

In mid-June, we participated in the Inova Trade Show<\/i><\/b> technology exhibition, held as part of Campinas Innovation Week<\/i>. At the booths, our researchers displayed prototypes developed in the context of CINE and interacted with professionals from companies, entrepreneurs, students and the general public.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

On May 6, the director of CINE gave a master class to high school students at Col\u00e9gio Visconde de Porto Seguro in Valinhos. The scientist addressed the challenges of the energy transition and how CINE seeks to innovate in technologies that bring clean and affordable energy to all through the integration of academia and industry.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

In early June, we participated in the Italy Day at FAPESP<\/b> – a set of presentations and debates between Italian companies and researchers from the state of S\u00e3o Paulo with the aim of encouraging collaborations that foster economic and social development.
